MLK Breakfast Community Impact and Leadership Recognition Awards

This year, as we gather for the annual MLK Breakfast, we celebrate Dr. King's enduring legacy and answer his call to action: "Make a career of humanity. Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. You will make a greater person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in."  Inspired by these powerful words from Dr. King's 1959 address to the Youth March for Integrated Schools, our event will focus on how we can all contribute to continuing his legacy of service, justice, and equality.

About the Community Impact and Leadership Recognition Awards

These awards recognize individuals and organizations in the Twin Cities whose work embodies the values and principles of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Nominees should demonstrate a commitment to advancing racial equity and justice, promoting a culture of belonging, and community wellbeing.

This is your chance to help us shine a light on these unsung heroes! Final recipients will be selected by the MLK Committee and recognized at the MLK Breakfast event in January. This is a prestigious honor, celebrating those who are actively "making a career of humanity" in our community.
