Nominate a 2010 Emerging Legend
(Deadline: November 25, 2009)
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast committee is pleased to recognize outstanding
community leaders who embody the spirit of Dr. King’s dream – a testament that his
dream is a growing reality. The Emerging Legend Award was inaugurated in
2009 to honor a young person for his or her outstanding service to the Twin Cities
communities.
The winner will be recognized at the 20th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday
Breakfast on Monday, January 18, 2010, at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
The awardee will receive complimentary tickets to the breakfast and will be presented
with an award honoring his or her service and commitment to the Twin Cities.
Eligibility: Any person 21 years or younger who resides in the Twin Cities.
Nomination Process: Candidates may be nominated by a community leader, teacher,
religious leader, peer, or self-nominated. (Self-Nominations must include at least
two references)
Criteria: Demonstrated leadership and active service in a Twin Cities community.
We encourage all qualified and interested individuals to apply for this award. Please

than November 25, 2009.
